Domestication of Dogs
New research tracking DNA differences suggests that dogs were first domesticated in the Middle East over 10,000 years ago.

It is interesting to note how important the domestication of dogs was to the eventual settlement of human beings from a hunter-gatherer society to an agricultural society.
